Sigma RF1




Sigma RF1 is a case study of Sigma’s design language and a concept for a new digital rangefinder. With advancements in smartphone cameras, image quality is often not enough to make a standalone camera worthwhile. 

This design sprint examines the experiences that make a camera great.

The path to a sustainable “Vision Zero” future requires innovation and re-envisioning of nearly every facet of transportation as we know it. 

While electric and autonomous vehicles have thus far dominated the conversation, other less car-centric solutions warrant addressing. First, however, we must address and build up critical infrastructure solutions to make these alternative options more viable and attractive.

In collaboration with cross-functional teams, we designed and developed self-propelled temperature controlled electric carts to streamline and innovate order fulfillment experiences.

Intermission




Asthma is a lung disease which causes the airways to become inflamed and narrowed at times. 1 in 13 Americans have asthma and it is the leading chronic disease in children. Inhalers are the most common treatment for asthma. The goal with Intermission is to modernize the maintenance inhaler and design a more effective solution with electronic actuation. By slowing down the aerosolized medicine into the lungs, medicine absorption is maximized.

Unitx




Unitx are a modular and adaptable home furniture system which allows users to customize their living space and optimize it for specific needs. 

Individual Unitx effectively acts as “Lego” blocks for furniture. It uses as few parts as possible to easily and intuitively allow users to customize their living space and optimize it for specific needs. Users can have the furniture they need when they need it, and transform it into different pieces as their needs change.

SolarSENSE




There are over 500 million smallholder farms in the world. They make up a significant portion of the world’s poorest people, living on less than $2 a day, and they produce about a third of the world’s food. 

Our goal with SolarSENSE is to make some of the technology that is typically only available to large industrial farms more accessible to these small family farms. This can help them adapt their farming practices to the impacts of climate change.

Plantern is a hydroponic hanging planter and hanging light fixture designed to embrace nature in an in-home experience.  

The goal with this project is to combine two facets of a home (lighting and house plants) into a beautiful in-home experience that makes a statement.
